Yurky Cross Chartered Architects have submitted design for planning permission for a five and eight storey building in Lewisham High Street in London.

The new building will provide 51 new homes and 600 sqm of commercial floorspace.

Occupying a prominent position in the High St, the new development will kick-start its regeneration, replacing an existing 1960’s office and rundown retail outlet. The team have worked closely with Lewisham Council and undertaken community consultations to craft a landmark design that responds to the existing surrounding context. All flats have private outdoor amenity and the roof design enables a generous shared amenity space to be created at the fifth floor level.

The  provision of high quality commercial space  will invigorate the retail vitality of the local high street, making significant civic improvement to the local economy.
